Privacy Policy
Last updated June 10, 2026
Covenant Reader is a subscription reading service for families. We built it to be a safe, quiet place to read with your children — so we collect as little as possible, we never sell data, and we show no advertising.
What we collect
- From you (the parent or guardian): your email address, a password (stored as a secure hash), and your payment details — which go directly to Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your card number.
- About your children:only a first name or nickname, a reading level, and a cartoon avatar you choose. We never collect a child’s birth date, photo, email, location, or any other personal information. Children do not have accounts.
- Reading activity:which stories each reader profile has opened, the last page read, completions, and favorites — so shelves can show “continue reading.”
Children’s privacy
Covenant Reader is designed for use by parents with their children. Accounts may only be created by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, we show no advertising of any kind, and we use no third-party trackers in any child-facing screen. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Who processes data for us
- Supabase — database and authentication hosting
- Stripe — subscription payments
- Vercel — website hosting
- Resend — transactional email (confirmations, receipts)
Each receives only what it needs to do its job. We do not sell or rent data to anyone.
Deleting your data
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from your account page — it cancels any subscription immediately and removes every reader profile and all reading history. You can also email us and we will do it for you.
